dir. Sydney Freeland
Three Native American teenagers; a rebellious father-to-be, a devout Christian girl, and a promiscuous transsexual, strive to escape the hardships of life on an Indian reservation.
This interwoven narrative was written and directed by the amazing Sydney Freeland. Sydney and I first came together during our time at the Sundance Institute, when Drunktown was in its early stages of development.
I co-composed the music with my good friend Joel Pickard. Our score reflects the film’s often desolate Southwest setting leaning, on pedal steel guitar accompanied by strings.
Drunktown premiered at The 2014 Sundance Film Festival.
